This is a beautiful Trumpet! It’s a Benge Resno-Tempered Bell 5 Custom Built Trumpet that looks like it’s never been played!
According to Donald Benge, the term “Resno-Tempered” refers to the process of hammering and annealing (heating) a one-piece bell into shape. This process is specified and practiced by the Benge company1.
Essentially, the bell is carefully shaped and tempered to achieve specific acoustic properties, resulting in a unique sound quality. Looks to have been built around 1978. This instrument is in excellent condition and is ready to play!
There are a couple of slight “dings”, but nothing that will deter a beautiful sound. The case shows slight wear. Great horn at a great price!
